TOP ELIMINATOR - ALCOHOL INJECTED TURBO

CHECK OUT THE UPDATE AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE

IN THE BEGINNING.........I HAD AN IDEA
With some help from Hilborne, Leroy Hill and Gene Langley we created this....single throttle body turbo with alcohol injection. And one of our old Super Gas Chassis.

The original set up
With Trips to the Track and a LOT of Trial and Error ...We Started to run some 8.20
Nick ran some 8.20's at Thundervalley in the PMRA Top Eliminator Class
Nick was really getting addicted to the SPEED!!!!!!
Then we made our debut at PRO STAR
We made our first Pro Star race at Chicago Route 66. Nick was able to lay down a 8.14 at 165mph and get his Class 2 license. The competition was fiercer than we had anticipated. We did however have the GOOD fortune to meet Mr. Steve Rice and Chip Ellis. Steve took time out of his busy schedule to come to our pits and share a lot of valuable suggestions and information. Which we were able to put to good use before Indy!!
Indy was GREAT!!!!!! BEST TIME 7.94 @167MPH
At Indy we were able to put to use some of the info we had gotten from Steve Rice. Between Chicago and Indy we had to send the tranny to Paul Gast for some upgrades. This helped us to handle the horsepower and run a 7.98 and 7.94. Our FIRST 7 Second passes. Nick had to struggle keeping the bike on the track. We thought we had pushed the Super Gas chassis as far as it could go. So....
WE WENT TO VISIT SAM WILLS
With some phone calls to Steve Rice and several visits and a lot of discussion with Sam, we began building our new chassis. We added 6 more inches of wheel base to make it 70 inches, and replaced the single throttle body with a 4 throttle body set up. We replaced the Rajay with a new Garrett Turbo charger. Now we are hoping to be competitive with Top Eliminator Bad Boys ...Matt Smith,Ryan Schnitz and Dave Norris in 2001.

ON OUR LATEST VISIT TO SAM'S.....We were able to get the chassis off the jig and began fitting Nick to the bike. Hope to have it home in a couple of weeks to start wiring and electronics. The photos to the right and below were taken on that trip.

THE PEOPLE WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK
Sam Wills for the help with the new Chassis
